Bilstein B8 5100 Shocks have a zinc and nickel coating along with a clear coat sealant, which is highly resistant to corrosion. Zinc plating also enables more effective heat dissipation ensuring long-term durability.
Bilstein Monotube Shock Absorber Technology
The monotube technology provides greater damping power due to the larger surface area of the piston, which results in improved handling and consistent performance. The monotube design also provides superior tube strength while maximizing heat dissipation and shock life. One piece Aluminum Rod Guide and Seal also helps in keeping dirt out and maintaining a nearly friction-free surface.
Effective Heat Dissipation
Bilstein B8 5100 Shocks feature a superior monotube high gas pressure design which allows excessive heat from the oil to transfer to the outer surface of the shock body for effective heat dissipation. The dividing piston also permits the oil to expand as heat builds, preventing foaming and viscosity loss. This allows you to have a comfortable riding experience even in testing driving conditions.
Digressive Valving Technology
The Bilstein's digressive valving technology intelligently maintains the oil flow resistance with respect to the oil flow rate. This allows the elimination of unnecessary oil resistance and provides better control as the vehicle encounters irregularities in the road’s surface.
